This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply highly specialised knowledge and skills in the field of organisational learning and capability development. Individuals in these roles generate and evaluate complex ideas. They also initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation. Typically, they would have full responsibility and accountability for the personal output and work of others.

This qualification may apply to leaders and managers in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability. The job roles that relate to this qualification may also include RTO Manager and RTO Director.

 

Academic Pathways

On completion of this qualification, candidates may choose to undertake further postgraduate‑level management or leadership qualifications, or other relevant qualifications from the BSB Business Services Training Package or other training packages, to further enhance their professional practice and career opportunities in leadership, learning and development, and organisational capability roles.

Entry requirements

St Thomas College's entry requirements are as follows:

  • Students must be over 18 years of age,
  • Students must have completed an overseas equivalent of Year 12
  • Students must have either an IELTS score of 6.0 total or above with no band lower than 5.0 or
  • Paper based (PBT) TOEFL score of 550 or above or
  • Internet based (iBT) TOEFL score of 78 or above and must provide documentation to that effect.

Entry requirements will be checked at enrolment in line with the STC's Student entry requirements, selection, enrolment and orientation policy.

Assessment Methods

Assessments will be conducted through a combination of questions, report, case studies, role-plays and demonstrations
